My Perpetual Mid-Life Crisis

In Life by Brandy Little

Starting around the age of ten and up to now, I have been in a perpetual midlife crisis. For some reason, I have always been acutely aware of how little time we have in life and how quickly it ticks. I can actually feel time as it passes to a very accurate degree. And because of this, I live life at an extraordinary pace.

I don’t rush through life, nor do I waste it. I am actually very present in everything I do, I just do a lot. I extract whatever I can from every moment, and excitedly find new things to pack into the next. Everyone’s choices for how to spend their time varies, part of mine is traveling and adventures.

My desire to travel internationally lit on fire in a chance trip to France when I was 16. I was lucky that my parents were willing to make some concessions in their own life to give me the chance to travel. The trip was only nine days, but it was enough to infect me with the travel bug.

It took another eight years till I was able to travel internationally again. Things haven’t gone as I planned or wanted, but they never do. Life is just about adjusting to whatever new things or new information that comes. In that time though, I saw a lot of the US, and racked up tons of adventures, like skydiving and whitewater rafting.

At the time of writing this, I now have been to 19 countries and five continents. As a pastime, I read and research about traveling, culture, countries, and more. I started this website five years ago, but it has undergone changes, and I am really excited to bring this new look and format to you. I am also excited to share my travel knowledge, stories, and photos.

See you on the road not taken.
